All Things New

Have you ever been lost in the wonder of this created world? Study the human body, and the intricacies of our DNA and you are left in awe. Meditate on gravity, the changing of the seasons, night and day, and how one simple change in the tilt of the earth on its axis will end all life on earth. Study the size and greatness of our universe with its 100 billion galaxies and be humbled by its magnitude. What an amazing Creator we serve!

David was enraptured by this same thought, but that led him to say, “. . . what is man that You are mindful of him?” (Psalm 8:4). If God created something so glorious, why would He want a relationship with us? That is the love of God. Our Creator desires a relationship with His creation. He wants to know you. He wants you to know and understand Him. This amazed David and should amaze us.

Go outside one night and stare at the stars and reflect on the great love God has for you over and above all else He created. You and I are the apple of His eye. We are His treasure! You can declare with David, “O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!” (Psalm 8:9).
